Health Equity: “The Urgency of Now”
June 25 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
While COVID-19 has disrupted many rhythms for society in various degrees from employment to education, media outlets are bringing to the forefront the inequities and disruptions have a large, disproportionate impact among black and brown communities. These devastating impacts and the data that support it illustrates a story of the implicit and explicit structural racism embedded in our institutions that has manifested its way in many forms through history. In partnership with the Partnership for Southern Equity, (specifically, the Just Health Circle) we will be facilitating conversations on how this global pandemic sheds light on the health, economic, and social inequities.
Join us virtually on June 25th for Health Equity: The Urgency of Now where we will be hearing from Dr. Camara Jones for her session on “The Urgency of Naming Racism”. The session will be 10:00 am – 11:15 am EST. Registration is now available! Click here to register.
